Still Going

I appear to have given some wrong impressions with my post last week. Just to clarify, my part-time hours don't begin until August 1. And I have been working on the novel, in that I've been researching in preparation for writing the last few pages. I just haven't been doing much actual writing in a while.

I was deliberately vague (perhaps overly so) because I don't want to give away too much of my ending by detailing the preparation. Suffice it to say I'm eager to finish, but also happy about the amount of knowledge I'm obtaining, which is much more than I'll need but should really enhance the quality of my final pages. And the information itself is fascinating --- I've repeatedly lost hours chasing down one line of inquiry or another.

Anyway I think the research phase is just about done. I already have some blurbs I jotted down so I wouldn't forget, but I will begin connecting them and writing more linearly this weekend. At most another two weeks. Truly I mean it.
